Landscape Forms has relaunched SHUFFLE, a multi-function pole system that consolidates Wi-Fi, cameras, sensors, two-way communications and EV-charging capabilities into a single vertical structure. The company said the move responds to rising customer expectations in public spaces, where separate single-purpose poles for sensors, cameras, lighting and connectivity have been accumulating in locations where space is limited.

According to Landscape Forms, municipalities, campuses and commercial developers are looking for ways to expand site functionality without adding visual clutter or additional cost, which has increased demand for fully integrated, multi-function infrastructure. SHUFFLE is positioned as that consolidated option, with modular components intended to allow customization and future adaptability.

Modular design and online configuration

The system stacks its functions into one pole that the company describes as easy to activate and install, with the integrated design aimed at bringing modern aesthetics and efficiency into busy, multi-use environments. Landscape Forms has also simplified configuration through a new build feature on its website, where clients can specify preferred camera and technology brands and choose among options within each category.

Shannon Lee, Business Development Manager for Smart Poles at Schréder, said the system is the solution site designers have been waiting for. She said SHUFFLE was designed to fit the needs of busy public spaces with product and feature sets that can be updated as a site's requirements evolve, adding that safety and connectivity are integrated into outdoor spaces without dominating them.

New plug-and-play feature updates

The relaunch adds options built around plug-and-play simplicity:

  • 360-degree area light
  • Decorative light ring
  • 180-degree area light
  • Quad-view and 180-degree cameras
  • Motion sensors
  • Loudspeaker and intercom modules

The modular design allows the pole to be configured for specialized environments as well as general public spaces, providing what the company describes as an added measure of security and convenience wherever people gather for work, travel, study and recreation.

Intended settings

Landscape Forms lists university and business campuses, airports and commuting hubs, shopping malls and tourist areas, concert halls, city parks, sports venues and hospitals as suitable sites, citing the system's multi-use adaptability and communication features for managers balancing a range of site requirements.

Jordan Agustin, President of Lighting at Landscape Forms, said SHUFFLE represents the kind of thinking the industry needs, with technology and design working together to make outdoor spaces safer and smarter without compromising aesthetics. He said the new features enhance the beauty and functionality of outdoor space while advancing the company's mission of connecting people to the outdoors and to each other.
