Mace Construct will adopt the name Forco from the new year, after the contractor said the rebrand would give the business a shorter, more distinctive identity. The company described the name as “short, impactful and easy to pronounce.”
Mace Construct and Mace Consult became separate businesses in March. Under the separation agreement, Mace Consult retained the Mace brand. Mace Construct will continue to trade under its current name until the new year, when the Forco identity takes effect.
The rebrand will coincide with a new corporate strategy and productivity targets running through 2030. Executive Chair Mark Reynolds said the name reflects a commitment to being the UK’s most forward-thinking contractor and its most productive by 2030. Those are company ambitions rather than independently verified outcomes.
Reynolds said the business had spent 35 years raising standards and helping to drive the industry forward. He said the qualities that made Mace Construct one of the UK’s most respected contractors would remain: its culture, values and people. He added that clients can expect the same teams, the same commitment to delivery and the same drive to create lasting places and infrastructure.
The announcement focuses on the contracting business’s identity and future strategy. It does not set out project-level changes or explain how the 2030 productivity targets will be measured.
