The Vollrath Co. has named Fred Fritchen its director of national accounts, putting him in charge of the manufacturer's strategic sales team and its national account strategy.
According to the company, Fritchen brings extensive foodservice industry experience to the position. His background also includes building customer partnerships, leading strategic growth initiatives and helping organizations create value for major national account customers and channel partners.
In the role, Fritchen will oversee Vollrath's national account strategy. The company said the focus will be on strengthening key customer relationships, identifying opportunities for growth and aligning strategic sales efforts with the needs of its customers.
Larry Deutsch, senior director of sales, said in the announcement that Fritchen combines foodservice experience, strategic account leadership and a demonstrated ability to build lasting customer relationships. Deutsch added that Fritchen's experience and leadership would be valuable as Vollrath continues to strengthen its strategic customer partnerships and look for growth opportunities.
The appointment is one of two recent personnel additions referenced in the announcement. Andrew Cronau, who took part in FER's How To Spec Live in September, has also recently joined the manufacturer. The announcement did not specify Cronau's role or the effective dates of either appointment.
